About Fake Figures

In an effort to spread awareness, unknown to overseas buyers products which are being advertised as authentic are actually often counterfeit items.  The two biggest e-commerce entities which allow the sales of such items are Ebay and unbelievably Amazon of all places.  Additionally Rakuten Global Market which is also partnered through Ebay in some cases sources unlicensed sellers of Japanese goods from countries other than Japan.  Please be aware they are highly likely to be fakes especially if the price tag for a new item is still under $30.

To avoid the distribution of horrible counterfeit products Osaka Momma's takes great effort to properly research and secure the authentic versions of these world famous Japanese brands such as Revoltech, Amazing Yamaguchi, Figuarts, Kotobukiya, Figma and Nendoroid.  There is a certain level of quality and precision in the original works of Japanese figure and toy makers because Japanese culture in particular is very picky about the very finest of details.

We want to encourage you to do your homework and research before making purchases from entities like Ebay Amazon, or Rakuten Global which may offer Japanese figures as "brand new" when their production may have already ended many years ago.  In reality the authentic products may still be available as used or even never before unboxed new in local second hand shops.
