Osaka Momma's Japanese Goods - Our Story
Osaka Momma's Japanese Goods store is a local shop based in Osaka, Japan handling the export sales of items available for purchase here which may not be directly available for purchase in other countries due to shipping limitations. Here we specialize in finding the local products you want from Japan and arranging the shipment directly to you overseas. In particular we can source items such as clothes, anime, manga, candy, movies, video games, game systems, other small electronics, figures etc. At the moment we do not handle large freight for things such as furniture and car parts, but we may offer that in the future.
From time to time we will post pictures of things we think are nice goods to have and list the approximate cost to purchase. This cost includes the shipping. If you spot any items you would like to buy you can purchase them using Paypal Only (Visa, Master Card, Amex, and any unsupported cards may possibly be used via Paypal in your country).
Our online store is meant to operate just like a real Japanese small shop that you may visit in person if you have ever been to Japan. We are not a physical store that you can visit should you actually come to the Osaka area. Just an office which helps support online proxy sales of Japanese collectibles to overseas. The price you see listed already includes all shipping taxes and fees to send items with Japan Post, so that there are no surprises at check out, no extra hidden costs. What this means is our store is intended for single item purchasing. Yes of course we can combine orders and offer multiple purchases of the same items in very limited amounts but you must first reach us on our Facebook chat in order to discuss pricing and availability. Some items are much easier to supply than others. The younger and less popular the item, the easier it is to find and provide multiples of. The older, more rare, or more popular and the more scarce and costlier it is to provide.
All items ship via air mail which takes approximately 7-10 business days. If a package has not arrived please contact us immediately so that we can check on its tracking and update you on its location in transit.
If you know an item exists and can give us a name for it we are even open to taking requests, but for things that violate any international restrictions or could be deemed immoral we will not be able to accommodate those kinds of requests. Apologies in advanced.
**Used or Super Rare Items** Items listed as "Used" or "Super Rare" are products in which the current production cycle has ended. Used Japanese toys are of the highest quality, great care is taken to preserve them. Often times such products can be found in second hand stores as unboxed new items, they are just no longer for sale at normal commercial large chain stores or the original online vendor.
Although these items are often listed as sold out please send us a message to ask about availability so that we can prepare for you an estimated cost and send a special order sales link. Once the payment is received we will start the hunt for your item. Even though production cycles may be rebooted by the product maker, these items remain listed as Used or Super Rare because they are so popular that they often quickly sell out again.
Please act quickly as often these items are found on auction sites and are very time sensitive. If we are unable to secure from a local shop or win an auction bidding war with the funds pre-provided by you we can return your payment or keep it to fight for the next sighting/listing should one become available. Please be patient and allow us time to research and track down these rare finds. We will contact you as soon as we find one and are able to prepare it.
On authenticity of product brands like Good Smile, Figma, Figuarts, etc: It is absolutely illegal to sell fake/counter/knock-off products in Japan. We do not accept or condone this behavior. Please do not request from us any such items and be rest assured we do not distribute any such items regardless of the legal aspect we have much higher standards than this and do not ever dare disrespect the quality of Japanese designed products. That said please do also understand that Japan is not a heavy manufacturing nation any more and 90% of its official products are still by contract mass produced out of China. **Pre-Order Items** At this time we do not accept any cancellations on processed Pre-order Items as often times we may not cancel our proxy pre-purchases on your behalf with the manufacture of that particular product. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
